First weekend in March I was blessed with the opportunity to participate in a photo shoot with 3 lovely ladies and 10 talented photographers at the Southern Mansion in Cape May, NJ. All gowns were handmade by me and have couture construction and embellishment. I also created the silk flower and feather bird cage veil. This is just a small selection of the beautiful photos. So many to choose from these talented and lovely women….all are beautiful…….
If anyone would have told me that I would end up in historic Cape May with 10 great photographers photographing 3 of my gowns at the Southern Mansion, I would have told them they were crazy. But that is exactly what happened.
On Friday, March 2nd with the car loaded to the rim with 2 dogs and their crates, 6 gowns, fascinators and a small overnight bag of clothes we drove the 2 hour drive to Cape May. I found a great BB – White Dove Cottage that let us bring the boys.
I met 10 very talented female photographers who you can tell love what they do. I am so looking forward to seeing all the photos. I can’t thank Caity, Katey and Michelle enough for braving the chill out there for at least 3 hours wearing just a bridal gown and 2 evening gowns. They were beautiful.
It was one of those weekends that you have to pinch yourself to make sure you are not dreaming. Below are a few photos from the shoot.
More photos to come as I get them.
Wednesday, March 7th will be my first Bridal Show. PlanIt Expo – Radisson Hotel Freehold, NJ
I am really excited. I have been working hard on sample sashes, a few fascinators, bird cage veils and door prizes…..
I had a great time last weekend making button carnations with silk ribbon and dutchess satin flowers. Spent time appliqueing lace and beads on a sample sash. Trying to decide which gowns I will show. Creating promotional material and getting photos together.
Here is a sneak peak:

I have had so much fun today working on this fascinator. Working on items for the Bridal Show on March 7th in Freehold, NJ. Who knows — some lucky Bride might just win this one. Only time will tell….
Dutchess Satin silk flower with feathers and Russian Tulle with little beads hand sewn into the tulle. Stay tuned for more to come.
Just wanted to share a Winter scene out our patio. This is when I really like snow. Now its is off to work on the door prizes for the show next month.
This is my first blog, I do not know what I am doing, but hopefully, each of you will bear with me as I begin this new journey.
As I go along I hope to share with you my passion for creating beautiful Gowns, Beading, specialty Embellishments, Roses, Gardening, Cooking and of course, my 2 crazy dogs.
The roses on the header are Roses in The Peggy Rockefeller Rose Garden in New York City. The Jersey Shore Rose Society (which I am President and member) took a trip there a few years ago. It was a lovely day and we had a great time.
As some of you know I create custom Couture Bridal Gowns. About 16 years ago, my husband and I moved to New York so I could follow my dream of one day owning my own Studio and creating these beautiful gowns. After many years of attending The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York in the evening, I have finally begun to pursue my passion.
The gown pictured here is my Second Bridal Gown that I made. The first was my own bridal gown when I got married many moons ago.
I want to thank Marissa DeCinque – http://www.decinquestudio.com/ for the great photography. You should really check her out. Erika Uchinaite for modeling the gown (it fit her perfectly), make up by Casey Lynn – http://www.facebook.com/makeupbycaseylynn and the Flowers by www.thepleasingposy.com
I hope you will follow along and enjoy my posts and photos as I go along on my new journey….I believe it is now or never….
I hope you will share your comments.
